Weight Loss

Facts about weight loss:
  • The battle for weight loss begins in the head. It demands will power, a sense of self worth and motivation before long term success can be had.

  • Many of us have a poor relationship with food that we have learnt over many years. This relationship can be more powerful than our short term motivation to lose weight - that's why we put the weight back on.

  • Using a "head first" approach to weight loss can be the answer for many who have tried dieting and not succeeded.

The quest to lose weight and keep it off is centred in our feelings. It has much to do with how we feel about ourselves, our feelings of self worth and our self knowledge.

I work along side clients whose aim is to lose weight and keep it off. Together we will explore your relationship with food and either change your eating behaviour or allow you to live more comfortably with your size.

I am not a dietician and will not be telling you what to eat or how much exercise to do, but as your therapy proceeds you may well choose to seek such services out with renewed determination.  I will be there to support, guide and challenge at the appropriate times.

Having therapy, with weight loss as a goal, is also highly likely to have a positive impact on the rest of your life too; supporting you on the journey to the happier, healthier person you deserve to be.
